Corruption of Arcana Weekly Devlog 12

Its been a busy few weeks for the few who continued work on the game over the Easter break, but none the less we still have some new features for you to play and test for us. We are getting closer and closer to our deadline and finally having Corruption of Arcana in a official Demo state, this demo state will serve as the foundation for the development of the game for next year. 

Over the holiday we wanted to focus on creating a more detailed tutorial than we currently have in the game, still available by talking to Mamma R, but not too detailed that it might seem too complicated, this tutorial will change over time allowing us to help out the new players who wish to take part.  More details can be found below.

New Features

• Combat Tutorial
  • Available at the start of the game after the dream sequence
• 2 New quests - 'The Waylaid Captain' and 'Fake Fortunes'

Quests & Navigation Changes

• Players who complete 'The Corrupted Golem' quest will now receive a new weapon to equip
• Realm navigation nodes where no events occur will no longer load into a new scene
  • No more annoying screen animations every step woo!

Minor Changes

• Some areas now have new combat backdrops which more enhance the blend between the 2D and 3D environments
• A couple new Major Arcana cards have been added to the deck for players to collect
• Some Major Arcana cards have had a change in what spread card they draw
  • Some Spread cards currently have no Art in the help guide
• Treasure chests can now be found in the 3D world giving players a new way of finding cards, gold and maybe even some potions

That pretty much sums up everything that's been completed over the last 2 weeks, we are so excited to see how our game looks when its finished for this year. For those of you who wish to see us and our game in person, make sure to visit us at the Falmouth Games EXPO at the end of may, those who attend are able to collect a sticker for playing as well as a game card to share with your friends.
