Corruption of Arcana Weekly Devlog 11


This week, we have embarked on a quest to improve the questing system, as well as making various other QOL changes that bring Corruption of Arcana closer to completion.

New Features

Quest Info
  • Quest Menu Info
  • Final Trial Reward
  • Secret Boss Navigation Event Location
  • Various Bug Fixes

Opening the quest menu now shows an image that shows the location of the next objective and an image of key NPCs associated with that objective. There is now a special reward for defeating all of the secret bosses in the Final Trial quest, and the navigation event for one of these bosses has now been moved to a node south of Tiertarock and the nodes in the sea now have an ocean background.

Weapons Vendor
  • Can now purchase weapons from a vendor in the market
    • Is currently the potions vendor, will be a unique vendor later on
Taro Animations
  • Sideward animations for Taro have been added
Thoth Changes

  • Crystal Barrier now has a 3D model
East Forest Clearing Changes
  • Mud has been added to an area in the Clearing
  • Crystals around the cave have now been replaced with the newer model
Known Issues
  • We are having an issue with the cat sprites, so they have been temporarily removed
  • We are investigating an issue where the new crystal models aren't effected by their own colours and lighting as we intended

In the coming weeks, we are going to be focusing on improving the new player experience with an improved tutorial. As JD always says, we are making constant progress and we are gonna keep "Twerking and Working" on the game.
